Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Following my ParentMail yesterday, I am writing to inform you that we are currently following guidance from the respective unions regarding the partial opening of our school.  Unions are requesting partial opening of primary schools for the first two weeks of term.

 

Places at school are therefore limited to the guidance we are following.  At this point in time, there are no funded vouchers for those children who are in receipt of Free School Meals.  Therefore these children, along with other families with specific circumstances must be offered places initially.  We have contacted the relevant families and are waiting for their responses by 3pm today.

 

Looking ahead to the provision of Key Worker places, at this time these are only available to families where both parents are Key Workers and are unable to arrange alternating work patterns in order to provide care at home.  Please use this link to find the updated government definition of a ‘Key Worker.’ Please can you let us know if this is the case by 3pm today using the office2@yaptonschool.org email by 3:30pm. We understand that many of you will have set up ‘child care bubble’ arrangements and we would not want to compromise these.
