Dear Parents and Carers,

as you will have heard in the news, the National Education Union (NEU) have voted to take strike action on Wednesday the 5th July and Friday 7th July 2023.

Traditionally in West Sussex, the designated ‘Transition Day’ occurs on the Wednesday within the first week in July – which this year is the 5th July.

I have been in contact with our local secondary schools and have arranged our ‘Transition Day’ here at Yapton to fit in best with their arrangements.

For our Year 6 children, you will be contacted by your child’s prospective secondary school and we will work around the dates that you are given.

For our children currently in EYFS to Year 5, their ‘Transition Day’ will be Tuesday 4th July 2023 within normal school times.

For our brand new EYFS children, our ‘Stay & Play’ will remain on Wednesday 5th July as previously arranged.
