Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to all of the families that came to our ‘Time to Shine’ this afternoon. The children have been immersed in their topics this half term and were excited to be showing you their work.
NEXT WEEK
We are looking forward to our Easter Services on Tuesday morning at St Mary’s Church. Thank you to all of the families who have offered to help walk.
On Wednesday our Y5/6 dancers will perform their Dance-House routine to the rest of the school. They danced with confidence and finesse and were an amazing representation for our school. Well done to Maisie, Betsy. Toni, Evie, Tegan, Amy ,Teja, Sofia and Ava.
On Thursday afternoon we have a very bouncy visitor with long floppy ears hopping by to meet the children. He may have some chocolatey Easter gifts for the children to bring home too!
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CORPORATE CHALLENGE RUNNING TEAM
On Wednesday evening our running team completed the last of their 3 road races in the Chichester Corporate Challenge. All of our runners have worked hard in their training sessions and this resulted in a flash of green as they ran past us wearing their Team Yapton sports tops! Well done to Ellie, Alys, Evie, Gracie, Amy, Jayden, Fraser, Oscar and Ashton.
STAFFING NEWS
Mrs Hayes will be leaving us at the end of the summer term. We will miss her cheery smile, her positivity, her kindness and compassion.
A message from Mrs Hayes to our families-
It has been a privilege to work with our wonderful children and families here at Yapton CE Primary for over 15 years. I am fortunate to work with an amazing, inclusive and supportive team of staff and governors.
As some of you may know, I am lucky to have my Mum and Mum-in- law living in the village and although they won’t thank me for saying this-none of us are getting any younger and I would like to spend some more time with them. I am also blessed to have a lovely grandson, Bertie as well, who keeps me busy. Being married to Rev Rich, our local vicar, means that I can also have time to explore other ways to support our parish as well.
So it feels like the right time to leave my role as Inclusion Lead in July, and to enjoy time with my family and look ahead to a new path on my journey.
CHARTWELLS FOOD
I have attached a message from Chartwells our food provider.
PRAYER FOR APRIL 2022
I have attached our prayer for April so that you can use it at home if you so wish.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday ready for the last week of this term.
Have a great weekend.
Take care
Kim Huggett
