Dear Parents and Carers,
HAPPY HALF TERM
The teachers have been in school today putting the finishing touches to the children’s reports. I am looking forward to reading them and writing my comment to the children. There are many successes to celebrate and an opportunity to reflect on ways to improve. These will be sent home to families on Friday 3rd March. In the summer term there will be an end of year data report to share with you.
It has been an amazing week in which to end of first half term of 2022. Our dancers performed at Dance House on Tuesday evening at the Alexandra Theatre in Bognor. Their dance told the story of friendship being extended to aliens visiting the earth. At first they were not welcome but then the humans realised that everyone has an alien in them somewhere! The children’s story telling was so powerful that many members of the audience commented on this performance. The value of ‘kindness’ really shone through. Well done to all of our dancers: Evie M, Jessica B, Chloe C, Lilyanna C, Maisie K, Toni S, Sofia S, Agnes B, Kaitlyn H, Maisie S, Alex T, Isaac B, Alex M, Jenny S, Poppy W, Bani G, Leo H, Hanit S, and Andrea V. A huge ‘thank you ‘ to Mrs Cummings who choreographed and organised this performance. Thank you to Mrs Wilson for supporting the children at the theatre.

ATTENDANCE
I cannot stress enough how important it is for children to be in school each day. Every day that they are not in school means lost learning. Persistent absence or unauthorised absence for holidays and late arrival to school may result in a fine being issued. The money received from the fine does not come to the school. We are always here to help if we can.
THE COMMUNITY HUB
Those children and families that are not eligible for FSM will be able to access urgent support for food via the WSCC Community Hub. The Community Hub can be contacted on 0330 222 7980 and is open 9:00 – 17:00 seven days a week. Further information can be found via the West Sussex County Council website.
