WEEKLY NEWS FOR FAMILIES 24.03.2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

Unfortunately we have experienced a high level of illness this week, both for the children and for our staff. We are hoping that Miss Emery, Mrs Hayes and Mrs Browning will be back next week. As I have explained before, our two supply agencies are also struggling to source supply cover for us. This is due to a variety of reasons. It may be that the class will be covered by a variety of teachers and/or someone from our Senior Leadership Team. In rare circumstances, the class would be covered by at least two Teaching Assistants working together. All of these arrangements are put in place so that we do not have to shut a class. I realise that the situation is not ideal, but unfortunately it is the reality that we are facing. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

MISS BEADLE
We will be saying ‘good-bye’ to Miss Beadle on Wednesday as she leaves us to get ready for the arrival of her baby. We will miss her cheery smile and her kindness to the children. We will let you know when the baby is here. We send Miss Beadle our love and best wishes.

GREAT BALLARD SCHOOL EASTER CLUBS AND CAMPS
We have been sent information from our colleagues at Great Ballard School at Eartham to share with you. There are a range of activities available for the Easter Holidays. I have attached the information for you.

WEST SUSSEX ACTIVITIES AND HAF PROGRAMME
Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme – Easter 2022
We are pleased to let you know that West Sussex County Council will be working with a number of organisations to offer provision during the Easter holiday for children eligible for Free School Meals. There are a wide range of activities and some of you may have already heard directly from clubs being run in your area. Parents and carers can search for activities near them on the Family Information Service Online Directory. More information can be found via the HAF webpage.

EASTER SERVICES
We are planning to hold our Easter Services on Tuesday 5th April 2022:
9.30am for Lewes, Camber, Amberley and Bramber classes.
10.30am for Portchester, Pevensey, Southsea, Arundel, Bodiam and Hastings classes.
Please can you let the class teachers know if you are able to help us to walk to the church.
We are not sure yet if all parents can attend. We will need to look at the COVID rates and discuss this with Reverend Richard. Thank you for your understanding.

TIME TO SHINE
As in the previous half terms our ‘Time to Shine’ is held on the penultimate Friday of the half term. This will be on Friday 1st April for this half term at 3.15/3.20pm. The children will select the three pieces of work that they are most proud of to share with you. We look forward to seeing you.

Have a great weekend.
Take care
