Dear Parents and Carers,
what a great end to this half term, to be back together again as a school family!
Our Pentecost Prayer Space has been visited by every child. Each year group have represented the feast of Pentecost in a different way. The children have thought carefully about the gift of the Holy Spirit and have reflected on the importance of this feast that celebrates the birthday of the church.
TRACK & TRACE OVER HALF TERM
Please use the office2@yaptonschool.org email to alert us to any new cases of COVID19. We will then follow the school procedures and alert the relevant staff and families as necessary.
TRAVELLING ABROAD
Whilst we understand that foreign travel restrictions have begun to be lifted, I would like to request that families think very carefully about the possible implications of travelling abroad at this time. We have worked really hard as a school over the last year to try to keep our school as COVID secure as possible. Some of our staff are not fully vaccinated yet or have even had their first vaccine. Any time that the children miss from school will not be authorised and could result in a fine. The school will request to see proof of travel dates in order to be clear about when the return to school can be expected within the guidance. As a school community, we have to be mindful of each other.
COLLECTING CHILDREN EARLY FROM SCHOOL OR LATE ARRIVAL TO SCHOOL
It is really important that the children are in school every day and for the full day. If you need to either collect your child early or bring them into school after registration, we will be asking to see documentation in relation to this. Just recently, too many children are either arriving late or being collected early. Thank you for your cooperation.

We have planned to hold our Country Dancing Festival on the last day of this term and would like the parents to attend – as long as any updated guidance from the government allows this to happen.
Have a lovely half term. We look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 8th June.
Take care
