Weekly News for Families – 31.03.23

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today’s last day of term certainly rocked! The Rock Steady gig was amazing! It was so lovely to see so many of our children of all ages performing with huge amounts of confidence. Well done to the bands!

Swimming Gala Results

Following last week’s letter, we now know that the Year 5/6 Girls’ Swimming Term finished in a fabulous joint-second place out of fifteen local primary schools. The Boy’s Swimming team finished in 8th place resulting in a brilliant 5th place in the overall standings.

Running Success

Our Running Team competed in the final Chichester Corporate Challenge races on another wet Wednesday evening this week. Everyone who has taken part over these three Wednesdays deserve lots of credit – both in their behaviour and effort. Based on all the results from all three races, the Yapton Boys’ Team were placed 33rd out of 46 teams. The Yapton Girls’ Team were placed in a tremendous 4th place out of 35 teams.

Schools Meals in the Summer Term

There is an opportunity for girls to join a Cricket Club at Eastergate in May and June. More details are attached in another flyer.

Learning Hooks for the Summer Term

After the Easter break, we will be looking forward to starting new Learning Journeys. Attached are the hooks for the classes in EYFS/Years 1 and 2, Years 3 and 4, and Years 5 and 6.

Have a very happy Easter.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 17th April.
