WEEKLY NEWS FOR FAMILIES 30.6.2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

our Year 6 children began their week with the ‘Diocesan Leavers Service’ in Chichester Cathedral.

Thank you to Josh and Teresa for carrying the banner and to Maisie for taking part in the Offertory procession.

The theme of the service was ‘Annointed’ and we learnt about the story of David and how he was chosen by God over many other people. The celebrant talked to us about how we can look at others in a considered way, using the phrase:

‘We look on the outside, but God looks at the heart.’

THE YAPTON LEARNING JOURNEY

We have created an Information Booklet for families which maps out the the exciting opportunities that your children will experience during their time at Yapton School. It includes the special events, trips, community links and visitors – all of which enhance our children’s learning.

We hope that this will help to plan out when payments will need to occur to fund trips or visitors. A * can be seen next to these.

TEACHING AND LEARNING ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR

Please find attached the staffing arrangements for September 2023.

You will receive a parentmail shortly after school informing you of your child’s new class for September.

They will spend the day in their new class on Tuesday 4th July 2023. Please bring your child to their usual class on this day. We will gather together in the hall before moving to our new classes. Please collect your child from their usual classroom on this day too. Thank you.

PARENT & TEACHER MEETINGS

We have arranged these meetings to be during the week beginning 17th July 2023. This will follow the end of year Attainment Reports that are due to be sent home on Friday 15th July.

The timetable and booking system will be shared with you early next week.

We are looking forward to meeting our new children and their families tomorrow at our ‘Welcome Breakfast.’

Have a lovely weekend.

Take care
