Dear Parents and Carers,

Here at Yapton C. of E. Primary School, teachers adapt the learning to meet the needs of the children. Following a review of the children’s progress in Maths so far this year, there has been some movement of children within the two groups that are taught by Mrs Isaac, Mrs Hillier and myself. These have been made with the best needs of the children in mind.

Your child may find themselves in a different group this week.

If you have any questions regarding these changes, please come and ask.

Some of the children are facing a barrier to progress because they do not securely know their times tables facts. Interventions in school are being used to plug these gaps. However, regular practice and re-learning of all the times tables facts up to 12 x 12 through Times Tables Rock Stars at home will be very useful. Please encourage and support your child to spend some time on this a few times a week.

Please may I also remind you, the deadline for ordering the KS2 book bundle for £7 is Friday 3rd November.
