Dear Parents and Carers,
following the last ParentMail communication to Year 6 parents and carers on Friday, some more information regarding these groups has been brought to our attention today.
It is important that I inform you that we have been made aware of the sharing of images between some children in the groups which are both inappropriate and indecent.
School is working closely with the relevant external agencies that include the police and social care to address this.
More specifically, the school is working with PC Dan Sibun, our Neighbourhood Police Officer, to arrange for him to visit the children in these year groups at school to empower them to spot potential damaging and harmful content and report this.
If your child is under the age of 16, they should not be using WhatsApp.
Please check your child’s phone regularly and be aware of both their activity and that of others.
