Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to those of you who came to our latest Time To Shine after school today. We hope you enjoyed looking at the children’s work they had chosen to show you.
Celebrating Peace
On Monday, our Whole School Collective Worship reflected on the recent VE Day commemorations. The children were faced withy the question ‘Why is peace worth celebrating?’The children came up with some lovely ideas including:
people can live in harmony
people can without fear
people are free to follow their dreams
They also considered how Jesus’ command of ‘Love one another as I have loved you’ (John 13:34)
encourages us to live peaceful lives.
Country Dancing Festival
Don’t forget to come along to our Country Dancing Festival on our school playground next Friday afternoon. Every class is working hard on their dance. Proceedings will begin at 2pm and the gates will open at 1:45pm. Once all the children have performed, there will be an opportunities for those of you who have come to watch to take part!
On the day, the children will need to come in full school uniform (not PE kits), but they will need to wear their trainers.
