Weekly News For Families – 26.09.2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thankfulness

The first verse of Psalm 118, in the bible, says, ‘Give thanks to Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.’

The whole school, including the youngest children in Early Years, were able to express their thanks and gratitude to many different things at our two Harvest Festival services at St. Mary’s Church earlier this week. As well as the many lovely reflections and thoughts about what the children were thankful for, the prayers which were written and shared by the children were full of love and compassion for others.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at either or both services, whether you walked with the children or met us there. Thank you also for all of donations for the Bognor Regis Foodbank which have come into school. Many of the class boxes are very full! We are going to keep the donation window open for one more week until the Foodbank are able to come and collect the donations.

Friendship

Earlier on in the week, the theme of Friendship was explored in our Whole School Worship. Jesus told his disciples to‘Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another’ (John 13:34). The meaning of this verse was explored alongside a story called ‘We Are Together.’ There were two parts in the story which seemed to fit very well with Jesus’ words: On our own, we’re special and we can chase our dream. But when we join up, hand in hand, together, we’re a team. When life is confusing and our way seems unclear, the horizon is distant, but our friends will stay near. Here is a link

to the story, if you would like to share it at home.
