Dear Parents and Carers,
Can you believe it..? We’ve only got two more weeks to go until the end of term? Today, we celebrated the International Day of Mathematics through exploring the theme of ‘Hope.’
Representing Our School
This week, a number of children have enjoyed representing our school at a couple of events. On Monday, our Key Stage 2 Dance Team performed brilliantly as part of ‘Dance House’, which was held at the Pavilion Theatre, in Worthing. Well done to Alyssia, Andrea, Bani, Callie, Ella, Hanit, Isaac, Isabelle, Jake, Jenny, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Maisie, Nyla, Olivia, Reegan and Whiloe for finding their brave and using the Yapton Yes to dance under the stage lights, on a big stage, in front of a very large audience.
On Wednesday evening, our running team took part in the second of the Chichester Corporate Challenge races. There were lots of improved places and times! Well done to Andrea, Bani, Hanit, Julia, Maisie, Alfie, Alex, Arlo, Charlie, Isaac, Leo and Oliver. There’s one more race to go. I wonder how many more ‘PBs’ will be achieved…?
Junior Parkrun
Keeping on the running theme, don’t forget (even though it’s Mothering Sunday) we are looking forward to seeing some our children and families at the Junior Parkrun in Littlehampton’s Mewsbrook Park. The event starts at 9am. Be there a little bit earlier, so as not to miss the warm up. Also don’t forget to make sure your children have been signed up so that their time can be officially recorded. Details of how to to this are here. Mr Hughes will be looking forward to seeing you there.
St. Patrick’s Day
As it is St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday 17th March, the children who are in St. Patrick’s House are invited to wear their own green clothes for the day.
Time to Shine
After school next Friday (20th March), it’s our half termly Time to Shine. Come into your children’s classrooms to see the recent three pieces of learning which they are most proud of.
Easter Services
Don’t forget our Easter Services which will be held in St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday 24th March. The EYFS and KS1 service will start at 9:30am and the KS2 service will start at 10:30am. We always enjoy lots of the home grown-ups walking to and from the church. If you would like to go straight to the church, that is fine as well.
Have a lovely weekend.
Take care
Kim Huggett
