Dear Parents and Carers,
It was so lovely to see so many of our whole school family at our two Easter services at St, Mary’s Church on Tuesday. In both services the children were able to share what they had been learning about Easter in their R.E. lessons as well as sing some Easter songs. During the Key Stage 2 service, Rev Richard talked about three items of food which are linked to the Easter story. To begin with, out of his shopping bag cam a simnel cake, with its eleven marzipan balls on top which represent the disciples apart from the missing twelfth one – Judas. Then, Richard showed the children some hot cross buns, where the cross represents the cross on which Jesus was crucified on Good Friday. Lastly, an Easter egg was revealed. Richard explained the original eggs (before they were made from chocolate) were hollowed out egg shells which were then decorated. As Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, the egg is a symbol of new life at Easter.

Parental Feedback
Thank you to those of you who completed the parental feedback forms which were available to fill in at last week’s Time To Shine. There were very many positive comments about what is working well. There were also some ‘even better if…’ suggestions. The Senior Leadership Team will digest everything that has been shared and then consider the school’s next steps.
Forest School Dates
Our first term working with Chichester Forest School has been highly successful. The children have really enjoyed their sessions and Mr White (our Forest School Leader) is always telling us how much he is enjoying the sessions with the children as well. Attached to this letter are the Forest School dates for the summer term.
Happy Easter
On behalf of the school may I wish you all a happy and peaceful Easter. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 13th April when the children will be able to enjoy their Hook Days (details of which are also attached) to launch their summer term learning.
Take care
