Dear Parents and Carers,
The Year 5 are looking forward to taking part in an exciting event called Sing950, which is part of the series of events which are being held to celebrate the 950th Anniversary of Chichester Cathedral. It is taking place on Thursday 6th November.
The children are busy learning 6 songs and hymns spanning nine centuries of cathedral music. They will also enjoy a workshop in school before the half term break to help with their preparations even more.
The children will be travelling to and from the cathedral by coach which has been fully funded by the the Cathedral. The children will eat their lunch, including any booked Chartwells hot meals, slightly earlier than normal and then be back at school before the end of the school day.
As there will be over 300 children taking part, the cathedral can only accommodate one parent or carer per child. Details of how to book your ticket along with further details of the event can be found in the attached letter.
Please can the consent and medical form be completed by Wednesday 22nd October.
