Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you to all of you who came back into school this to enjoy our first ‘Time To Shine’ of the school year. Along with your conversations with your child’s teacher during the parent-teacher meetings, you will have seen how busy all the children have been and how much progress they have made over the past few weeks.
A Sense of Identity
Monday’s whole school Collective Worship challenged the children to reflect on who they think they are. Jesus asked his disciples “Who do you say I am?”and then went onto say “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14: 6-7).Contents of a box revealed Mrs Huggett’s identity (which of course included a pair of leopard print heels). Children were then invited to share what three words they would use to reveal their identity. The children left the hall thinking about a quote from Nyle DiMarco: “Own your identity. Love who you are in world.”
A Visit from The Foodbank
On Wednesday, Clare (the manager of the Bognor Regis Foodbank) came to say thank you to the children for their donations they brought in for the Harvest Festival Celebrations. The children learned how the Foodbank helps so many different people.
