Dear Parents and Carers,
It may have been a chilly week, but we have kept ourselves warm with lots of amazing learning this week throughout the school!
THE SAME, BUT DIFFERENT
Monday’s Whole School Collective Worship focused on how in some ways we are all the same, but in many ways we are very different from each other. The key messages were:
We don’t all look the same – but that’s a good thing
Our differences make us unique and special
Sometimes our differences are just on the surface
It is also okay to be different and it is good to celebrate difference
TIMES TABLES ROCK STARS CHALLENGE
This week, our Key Stage 2 children have been taking part in a nationwide Times Tables Rock Stars competition. Over 4,000 schools took part and through all the efforts of the children, Yapton C. of E. Primary School managed to answer an amazing 76,136 correct answers which meant we have ended up well within the top 20% finishing in 700th place! There were also winners within the school: the top three classes were Cowdray class, Southsea Class and Portchester Class; and the top three individuals were Alfie H, Garrett S and Flynn W. Congratulations to everyone and thank you Mr. Cox for entering the school in the first place!
CHRISTMAS CAMPS
Attached are flyers about two Christmas Holiday Camps – one at the Arena Sports Centre in Bognor Regis and the other here at our school. HAF places are available at both.
