Dear Parents and Carers,
Rehearsals for the Year 6 production are going very well.
Props
We are looking for a little bit of help with a few props that are needed. The items we need are:
4 berets
A tool box
A small ironing board and an iron
If you have any of these items at home and would be willing to loan them to the production, please let me know through the office2@yaptonschool email address.
Year R Photos
It has become a tradition that during the production, there is a moment where photographs of all the Year 6 children as they were when they started school back in Year R are included. Please could an electronic copy be emailed to the office2@yaptonschool.org email address. Alternatively, a hard copy can be brought into school where it will be scanned. Please can these photos be of the children in their Year R uniforms (even if this wasn’t the Yapton green). I would be very grateful if I have a copy of the photographs by Friday 5th July. Photographs of every child are needed. If there are some missing, this part of the production will not be included.
Please note, these photos will only be used in the production and then within the Year 6 Leavers’ Service on the last day of term.
Costumes
Don’t forget the children’s costumes need to be brought into school on a named hanger on Thursday 4th or Friday 5th July.
Details regarding tickets for the 2pm and 6pm performances on Thursday 11th July will be sent out in the very near future.
Please continue to encourage the children with their line-learning. We are reaching the point where no scripts are allowed in the rehearsals! Also, if they haven’t already found them, the songs are available on YouTube or Spotify, so the children can be practicing these at home as well.
