Dear Parents and Carers,
The children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 are each going to take part in a fantastic Street Dance Workshop workshop led by a member of Urban Strides on Wednesday 12th June.
The children who have taken part in the Young Voices concerts at the 02 Arena already know who Urban Strides are – a very talented group of dancers. This is what they say about themselves: We change lives through music and dance.Our unique approach uses buckets of positivity, a heavy dose of encouragement and an electric and inclusive atmosphere – glued together with oodles of laughter – helping people transform their self-belief both inside and outside the dance studio.We share our passion for authentic Street Dance in a way that empowers our students and puts a smile on their face! We take our art seriously but not ourselves (thank goodness!).The children will be able to enjoy learning a new skill as well as developing their understanding of the benefits of having a positive outlook. To help cover the cost of the workshops, we are asking for a contribution of £3. Please can this be paid through ParentPay by Friday 7th June.
The Urban Strides performances at the Young Voices concert is a real highlight and I am sure the children will be able to experience the amazing amounts of energy the dancers bring in the workshops as well.
