Dear Parents and Carers,
The Summer Term has started at a great pace! It was so lovely to welcome everybody after the Easter break and then seeing high levels of engagement in the different learning hooks around the school.
What is TRUST?
Towards the very end of the Spring Term, the children gathered in their Community Circles to explore the questions ‘What is TRUST?’ and ‘Where do we see TRUST in our school?’. Attached is a record of the most common responses shared by the children. There is a verse in the bible that says, ‘Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding’ (Proverbs 3:5)
. The children will be exploring the theme of TRUST further over the next few weeks in our Whole School Collective Worship and Class Morning Meetings.
We Love Reading
Thank you to those of you who attended the workshop which focused on the teaching and learning of reading at our school. We hope you found it useful. Attached is a copy of the information so everyone can be aware of how the love of reading is grown and developed.
Feedback
Thank you to everyone who completed a parental feedback form at our last Time to Shine. It was pleasing to read through the long list of positive comments about the school. We will, of course, consider the ‘Even better if…’ comments. These will form part of the focus during our next INSET Day on Monday 2nd June. Any actions will then be shared with you.
September Dates
There have a been a small number of enquiries about the start of the new school year in September. The Autumn Term will begin on Wednesday 3rd September. This will be an INSET Day so the children will return to school on Thursday 4th September.
Fun at Fontwell
Finally, there is a flyer attached advertising a forthcoming fun day at Fontwell.
Have a lovely weekend, Enjoy any remaining Easter eggs!
Take care
